What is ScoutFest?
ScoutFest is the largest Scouting event in Washington Crossing Council. With 0ver 2,000 participants, Scouts of all ages, and their families will come together in one location to participate in a weekend full of adventure and experience the fun of Scouting.
With a wide range of activities, there is something to do for everyone.
When is the event?
ScoutFest18 will take place Friday, October 26 to Sunday, October 28, 2018. The main event and all activities will be on Saturday, October 27th, but weekend camping is available for all units.
Where is the event?
ScoutFest18 will take place at Mercer County Park in West Windsor Township, NJ. All camping and event activities will be at the park’s Festival Grounds.
How much does it cost?
The fee to attend ScoutFest18 is $30 per person. Kids ages 4 and under are free.
Is there a theme this year?
Yes, this year’s theme is Patriots: Past and Present.
Some activity stations, demonstrations, and displays will be reflective of this theme. The period of “the past” is focused on the American Revolution and General George Washington – the namesake of our council. The patriots of the present are our warfighters – the active duty personnel in our area.
Can our unit camp for the weekend?
Participants can tent camp on site Friday and Saturday night. Cub Scouts may Family Camp, in accordance with the Outdoor Program Guide. These campsites will be marked out and vehicular access during check-in and check-out will be strictly controlled.
All participants from the same unit will be assigned the same campsite. The campsites will be placed in an open field and site size will be based on the number of campers.
Who can attend?
All Scouting families regardless of council location are invited to attend ScoutFest18.
This event is not available to the general public.
What activities are taking place?
There are four separate activity areas for this event: a general area for all participants, a Cub Scout program-specific area, a Boy Scout program-specific area, and an area for teen programs.
Will there religious services?
A scout is reverent. Scouts of all faiths will be given the opportunity to participate in a religious service in accordance with their faith.
